Rapala Pro Bass Fishing among first
games available for Wii U

Highly acclaimed Rapala Pro Bass Fishing will be among the 50 top video games available for Wii U when the new HD gaming system launches Nov. 18.

Rapala Pro Bass Fishing challenges players to compete against real bass pros in an authentic bass tournament setting. The Wii U version offers new gameplay features, enhancements and updates made possible by Wii U’s unique home console and groundbreaking touch-screen Wii U GamePad controller.

“The integrated second screen of the GamePad creates new possibilities for how games can be played, and further reflects the innovation Nintendo has poured into the Wii U,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, which created Rapala Pro Bass Fishing.

With the new Wii U GamePad, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing players can:

  • Cast for and reel in trophy fish
  • Drive a boat and explore seven legendary bass lakes
  • Find fishing hot spots with a fish finder and map displays

Rapala Pro Bass Fishing game highlights include:

  • Authentic pro experience - use the same tools that bass pros use, including an unequaled assortment of Rapala lures
  • A variety of competitive fishing and angling challenges
  • Exciting tournament action with announcer commentary, live updates, competitive leaderboards, analysis, and heart-pounding final weigh-ins

The selection of games on the way for Wii U includes some of the gaming industry’s biggest names and most beloved franchises. Activision will bring several of its leading properties to Wii U during the launch, in addition to Rapala Pro Bass Fishing.

The Wii U Basic Set includes a white Wii U console with 8 GB of internal storage, one white GamePad controller, AC adapters for both the console and controller, a sensor bar and an HDMI cable. The black Wii U Deluxe Set includes all elements from the Basic Set, as well as the Nintendo Land game, 32 GB of storage, a console stand and GamePad charging cradle.
