  Cast With Confidence
With Sufix 832® Camo Braid

Before it began making a fashion statement, camo was made NOT to be seen. And that’s the thinking behind the new camo pattern Sufix 832 Advanced Superline® - blend in.

“Camo line in water does what camouflage does above water - it blends into its natural environment,” explains Sufix Project Manager Ben Miller. “As fisherman know, lakes’ bottom contours, water clarity and vegetation can change from lake to lake, and body of water to body of water, so the idea was to make a line that blends more to all environments of nature.”

Angler confidence and line color are closely aligned.

“Line color is all about confidence,” Miller says. “A lot of guys will have one particular line color that’s their go-to color for everything. Another guy might be just the opposite.” Sufix 832’s new camo pattern “fit a market that wasn’t served by a lot of line manufacturers.”

The new camo superline is perfect for pitching and flipping for bass in heavy cover and other applications that anglers need strength and durability in a low-vis line. “If guys aren’t confident throwing fluorocarbon in heavy cover, now they can throw a braid,” Miller says.

But it’s not just for bass fishing. “If a muskie guy wants to use it, he certainly can,” Miller says. “A catfish guy wants to use it, he certainly can. So can walleye guys. It covers the whole range in line diameter.”

Camo pattern 832 Advanced Superline is available in 6, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65, and 80 pound test, in spools of 150, 300 and 600 yards.

Aside from its color, the new 832 Advanced Superline in camo is identical in its construction to the four Sufix 832 Advanced Superline offerings previously available: Lo-vis Green, Neon Lime, Ghost, Hi-Vis Yellow.

Sufix 832 Advanced Superline won the Best Line Award at the 2010 International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST). The most important fishing tackle show, ICAST gathers together all the key parties in the tackle industry worldwide.

Formulated with eight fibers - seven Dyneema and one Gore® - at 32 pics (weaves) per inch, Sufix 832 is the only fishing line to combine both Dyneema and Gore® polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) fibers.

“The composition of these two fibers coming together creates the strongest, most abrasion-resistant, fastest-sinking, UV-protected, roundest fishing line on the market,” says Lars Ollberg, Head of Rapala’s Accessory and Fishing Line Business

Six years in development, Sufix 832 comprises three main technology features:

  • Dyneema fibers, which contribute to its small diameter, high strength and sensitivity
  • Gore® Performance Fibers, which add improved abrasion resistance, noise and vibration reduction, and improved casting length and accuracy
  • R8 Precision Braiding and fiber technology, which add superior strength, roundness and line consistency.
