Palaniuk Sticks ‘em With Storm
Palaniuk created a storm of buzz last summer when he used then-top-secret Storm Arashi (ah-rah-shee) crankbaits to build a commanding early lead in a Bassmaster tournament on the Mississippi River.
“It’s different than any other square-bill on the market,” Palaniuk says of the Arashi in a video he filmed last summer. “And it’s shined in so many different situations.”
Whether anglers need a lure that has a lively rolling action, a tight wiggle action or a moderate rolling action paired with the perfect tail kick, “Arashi has them covered,” he says.
Among Palaniuk’s other favorite Storm bass baits are the Wiggle Wart and the Twitch Stick. He used both to catch fish he weighed in the 2013 Classic.

Palaniuk was wearing Simms outerwear when he almost won the 2013 Bassmaster Classic, contested in frigid late-February weather on Oklahoma’s Grand Lake.
