New Sufix 832 Ice Braid Repels Elements,
Remains Supple and Strong

In the ice belt, there’s a fine line between celebrating winter and just surviving it. And it comes down to having the best high-tech gear.

Ice anglers know this, boasting hats, gloves and outerwear that repel the elements, fending off Mother Nature’s icy embrace. But finding a fishing line that does likewise? While remaining both supple and strong?

Sufix 832 Ice Braid is the line ice fishermen have been looking for. And it’s a fine line, indeed.

“Not only is 832 Ice Braid unbelievably thin, strong and easy to manage, it sheds water and ice, so line doesn’t freeze in rod guides,” says Hall of Fame angler and ICE FORCE Pro-Staffer Tom Neustrom. “Anyone who fishes hardwater knows that’s a major advantage.”

Neustrom and other top anglers that tested Sufix 832 Ice Braid last winter came to the same conclusion - why bother fishing with anything else?

“The first time I spooled with this stuff last winter, I realized that this was the ice line manufacturers had been aspiring to formulate for decades,” Neustrom says.

Inlaid with GORE Performance Fibers, Sufix’s advanced ice superline exhibits the same featherlight, user-friendly features as its award-winning, open-water counterpart.

“Lines for ice fishing have been evolving for many years,” Neustrom says. “Up until Sufix 832 Ice Braid, no one had nailed it 100-percent.”

Like all Sufix 832 line, Ice Braid features a tight, 32-weave-per-inch composition that includes 7 Dyneema fibers, plus 1 GORE Performance Fiber. Translation: 832 Ice Braid is the thinnest, toughest most sensitive fishing line on ice. And it sheds water like duck feathers!

It’s also the fastest-sinking ice braid available, Neustrom says.

“It gets me down to the fish fast,” he says. “What else can I say? Sufix and Gore create an unbeatable fishing bond on the ice. Not only is it round, thin and easy to handle, this stuff fishes with a strength and durability that seems impossible for such a low-diameter line.”

That pretty much covers every key trait anglers want in a high-performance ice line.

Available well before first ice, 832 Ice Braid comes in 50-yard spools of 4-pound test in a 1-pound diameter, and in 6, 8, 10, 20 and 30-pound test in an 8-pound diameter). It’s available in both Neon Lime and Ghost colors.
